eAlpaca is the pedigree and event registry system used by national alpaca associations, including the Australian Alpaca Association. It records pedigree, ownership, breeding and show data for nearly 200,000 alpacas in Australia. If you would like to view records in detail, you can sign up for 'view only' access, or you can join your national association.
A pedigree registry records an animal's parentage, ownership and identifying details (such as ear tag/IAR/NLIS number, colour and fleece type) across successive generations, so breeders can verify bloodlines and plan matings. eAlpaca's registry holds pedigrees dating back over 40 years and 10+ generations, tracing back to founding animals imported from Peru, Chile and Bolivia. See the registry statistics page for current figures.
